--West Virginia State Screening Auditions--

     The Southeastern Theatre Conference sponsors auditions twice a year for actors, singers and dancers. SETC's Fall Professional Auditions offer employment opportunities for professionals at over 30 theatre companies.  SETC's spring auditions are open to students, and are attended by more than 100 theatre companies seeking performers for both summer and year-round roles.
     Actors currently enrolled in school who desire to participate in the SETC spring auditions must first qualify by passing state-level screening auditions.  In West Virginia, these screening auditions are held in annually conjunction with the West Virginia Theatre Conference's fall convention.

The 2007 West Virginia Theatre Conference screening auditions for SETC had a record 142 auditionees! There were 53 auditionees form West Virginia and 89 from other states. 58 performers earned audition slots at SETC, and there are two alternates. Congratulations to all who auditioned and especially to April Daras, the WVTC auditions coordinator!
